Goodman Award

Background

The NMLL Committee of Management established the Goodman Award in 2016 to honour NMLL’s first Manager who was in the role for 21 years, from 1995 to 2016.

This was announced at Joanne Goodman’s farewell in May 2016.

The Goodman Award is to be presented annually, at the end of the calendar year, to one individual or organisation within the NMLL community who has made a significant contribution to NMLL’s CALD community.

Award

The Award recipient will be presented with a ceremonial certificate and a cheque to the value of $500.00.

Nomination process

All members of the NMLL community are invited to nominate an individual or organisation for the award: nominators and nominees can be staff, students, participants, volunteers, contractors, committee members, community organisations etc. Nominees must be or have recently been an active contributor to NMLL’s CALD community.

2020 nominations open on Wednesday 18th November and close at 2pm on Wednesday 25th November. 

Nominations can be lodged in two ways

  1. The completion of the Goodman Award nomination form.
  2. A verbal nomination addressing the Award criteria, made within the dates above.  The verbal presentation must be made to an NMLL staff member and they will transcribe the application and lodge it.
