Building community capacity through participation and collaboration
The NMLL Community Development Program aims to provide and facilitate community connectedness through consulation, communication, capacity building and networking.
Highlights of the program include:
- our quarterly newsletter, 'Spreading the News'
- parenting support, including the Baby Book Borrow library
- our volunteer program
- Student Representative Council
- Waste Not Want Not sustainability project
- development of the Harmony Garden
- lunchtime recreation including Knit-a-Square and gardening
- regular excursions
- guest speakers and information sessions
- involvment in community activities including the Spring Fling.
